PC's Helpdesk gives home computer users independent, helpful and straightforward advice.
Whatever your skill levels, having a friendly voice at the end of the phone helps you get your work done.
PC's Helpdesk is run by one person - me. My name's Philip and I've been helping people with their computer problems for more years than I'm willing to admit. PC's Helpdesk has been around for nearly a decade, and I love that "a-ha" moment when someone has been banging their head against the wall and finally gets something sorted.
I don't like anonymous call centres, not just because they're usually expensive, but also because I don't know the person at the other end of the phone. PC's Helpdesk is different.
First off, we don't have an expensive phone number. It was an option when I first set up the Helpdesk, but it just didn't feel right, so I opted for a bog standard telephone number.
Next, there's just me. Now, that means sometimes I'll be unavailable, but I'll always get back to you as quickly as possible, and I'll usually stick it out until the problem's sorted.
And did I mention that there's just me? That means I know you, I know your computer set-up and I know your own level of understanding, so I won't patronise you. If you're a beginner, I'll talk things through slowly, and if you're knowledgeable, I'll run a little faster.
The service is as simple and straightforward as the advice: it's £15/month to subscribe, and you get up to an hour's telephone support each month. House calls are charged at £45/hour (£55/hour if you're not a subscriber).
